Do you allow photography sessions at your farm?
At our farm, we cultivate sunflowers and pumpkins for the enjoyment of all our visitors. To access the fruits of our labor, we kindly request all patrons to pay the admission fee. We value the safety and well-being of everyone on our property, which is why we cannot offer any special discounts or deals to photographers. Our insurance carrier mandates certain requirements for individuals seeking to profit from photography sessions at our farm. These requirements include:
- An appointment and express permission from the Johnson Family.
- A copy of your liability insurance policy showing coverage of at least $1,000,000 on file.
- An email notification at least 24 hours in advance, giving us a heads up that you will be bringing clients for photography.
Before heading out to the farm, especially during uncertain weather conditions, we recommend checking our website or Facebook page for updates. In cases where unsafe conditions prevail, we reserve the right to close specific areas of the farm for the safety of our visitors.
Do you donate pumpkins?
We truly wish we could offer everything without any charges, but that’s what keeps us in operation! As October is all about the unique, round, orange fruit, and since we grow pumpkins, we receive numerous donation requests. To manage these requests fairly, we have implemented the Johnson Farm Donation Policy. If your organization is a non-profit or faith-based entity from our local Belton community, we will consider your request for a donation during the season. If your enterprise aligns with any of these criteria, please reach out to us through the Contact Us tab, and we will respond accordingly. Unfortunately, if your request does not fall within these categories, we regret that we won’t be able to reply to your email.
Do you sell pumpkins or mums to wholesale accounts?
At this time, we do not offer wholesale discounts for pumpkins or mums, nor do we take orders for delivery of pumpkins or mums. We are first and foremost a family entertainment venue and prioritize that community need. If the crop looks like we have enough to offer them to wholesale customers, we will post that on our homepage and on our Facebook page along with a link to a price list. Thanks for your interest.
Do we have to pay to enter the U-pick farm?
Indeed, we operate independently without any funding from city parks and rec divisions, and we warmly invite you to explore and appreciate the efforts we put into stewarding this land we’re blessed to own. The admission fee is essential as it aids in covering various expenses, such as overhead costs, insurance, providing living wages to our workers, and making yearly improvements that contribute to your enjoyable experience. Rest assured, we work tirelessly to earn every bit of your entertainment investment.
What is included in the admission?
It’s actually easier to tell you what is NOT included!
In Pumpkin Season you will pay extra for:
- Harvested crops
- Concessions
- Any retail store items
We allow unlimited timed jumps on our Giant Jumping Pillow which are included in every child’s admission. We ONLY run Farmer Tom’s Crazy Train on the Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.We do not have the Dinosaur Chomper, Pumpkin Cannon, or Pig Races during weekdays, which is why the admission to the play yard costs less Monday – Friday.
Do you have bonfires or night time activities?
