The 4th annual Fall Handmade & Vintage Chick Event pops up at Johnson Farms!

Leawood, KS  – Chick Events is popping up at locally owned Johnson Farms in Belton, Missouri September 15-17th.

Owner Aimee Jacobson notes “We are so excited to announce the location of the 4th annual Fall Handmade & Vintage Chick Event! This year we wanted to include family fun activities and Johnson Farms is the perfect place to create this experience for our guests. There is truly something for everyone at this event, including over 100 local and regional handmade & vintage vendors, music, DIY classes and farm fair food and attractions for the whole family”. Chick Events started in 2014 as a pop-up marketplace event with a goal of bringing Etsy-type makers and vintage shops to a unique event setting. The goal of these events is to introduce the makers to the Kansas City community and to support the growing and popular maker movement. You will find everything from handcrafted jewelry, leather goods, pottery, art, clothing, KC wares, furniture, candles, artisan food, vintage home décor and more. Each local artist or store has a compelling story on how they got started and what inspires them so be sure to ask! This is a true “meet the maker” experience.

Bringing the event to Johnson Farms allows us to expand the shopping experience to a full family fun weekend experience. The 140 acre farm is an ideal location for Chick Events. Shopping will be under the 30,000 sq. ft. greenhouse and many of their fall seasonal attractions will be open to guests for an additional fee, including their U-Grow Garden for vegetable picking.

The excitement begins Friday September 15th at 10am and goes through 6pm. Saturday September 16th 10-6 and Sunday, September 17th 11-4. Tickets will be available online or at the door. Chick Event tickets are $5 for a day pass or an $8 weekend pass. A Family weekend pass is $50, which includes entrance to Chick Events and all the Farm Fair attractions. Additional fees will apply for Johnson Farm attractions.
